Cookie policy
Joyful Coloring uses only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work, plus a few that remember choices you made. There are no advertising, analytics or social media tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or refuse. This page lists every one of them.
Last updated: 1 October 2026.
Why is there no cookie banner?
Privacy laws such as the EU and UK ePrivacy rules require consent for cookies that are not needed to provide what you asked for, such as tracking or advertising cookies. Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you use, and storage that keeps a setting you chose, are exempt. Everything below falls into those two groups. If we ever add advertising or analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Which cookies does the site set?
payload-token: keeps you signed in after you sign in. Strictly necessary. Lasts until you sign out, or 30 days.jc_anon: a random identifier for visitors without an account, used only to count the 15 free sheets a month. Strictly necessary for the free limit. Lasts up to 400 days. It is not linked to any other site.
Both are first-party cookies (set by joyfulcoloring.com only), cannot be read by scripts on the page, and are sent only over encrypted connections.
What is kept in your browser's own storage?
Some choices stay only on your device, in your browser's local storage, and are never sent to us:
jc_paper: the paper size you picked (US Letter or A4).jc_book_maker: the coloring book you are putting together in the book maker, until you save or clear it.jc_color_...: your unfinished online colorings and the numbers mode setting, so you can pick up where you left off on this device.
Do other companies set cookies here?
No third-party cookies are set when you browse. If we switch on Cloudflare's bot check on the sign-up, contact or comment forms, it runs a short check in your browser to tell people from automated programs, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. When you pay for Premium or a pack, the payment provider's checkout may set its own cookies, which its cookie notice describes.
How can you remove them?
Signing out removes payload-token. You can delete all cookies and site data for joyfulcoloring.com in your browser settings at any time; the only effect is that you are signed out and choices kept on your device are forgotten. Questions: [email protected]. More about how we handle personal data is in the privacy policy.
