Are these Disney princess coloring pages?
No. Every princess here is our own original drawing, so none of them is a Disney character. That means children can make each one their own: pick her hair color, her gown and even her name.
Kids who love a favorite film princess can still color one of ours in that princess's colors. A blue gown, a yellow gown or long red hair turns the or into a nod to a favorite story. Then the fun is choosing colors that make the gown shine.
How do you color a princess gown so it looks like silk and lace?
Color the folds of the skirt darker and the raised parts lighter. Press harder in the deep lines between folds, and ease off on the wide panels. The skirt then looks like it flows.
For silk, pick one color in two or three shades, such as pale pink to rose. For lace, like on the , leave the lace white and color only the fabric behind it. Make jewels on crowns and necklaces bright, and leave a tiny white dot on each so they sparkle. Gold or yellow on the crown finishes the look.
Princess coloring pages make party crowns, invitations and a royal story.
The can be colored, cut out and taped into a band for a party crown. Print it on cardstock so it stands up. A colored princess also makes a party invitation or a birthday card. Kids can line up several princesses and tell a royal story about them.
